Greenroom

Objective:
Reduce the amount of waste generated at CDES by implementing a recycling program for materials used in the design studios. Implement an in-studio storage unit, to readily accept slightly used studio materials. A greenroom group will be formed to insure the cleanliness and orderliness of the unit. The unit is to be flexible and mobile and have the ability to be modified and relocated as studios or studio instructors require.

Materials Collected:
All students are encouraged to donate new and used scrap material and old models.

Materials such as foam core, chip board, acrylic, museum board, balsa and other products used in the studios will be accepted. Tools no longer needed and still in working condition will also be collected. Minimum desired size of donated sheet materials is approximately 1' x 1'.

Function:
The unit will be maintained by the greenroom group on a bi-monthly basis, ensuring a cleanly studio environment. The group will work to educate the students and studio instructors of the functioning of the unit. As the unit fills, the overflow material will be placed in a location to be defined at a later date.
